The Casali company was founded in 1792 from Joseph Casali in Triest, on the Adria. Originally it was mainly liqueurs that were produced, but soon Casali as a brand was known not only for its high-quality liqueurs, but also for its delicious liqueur-filled confectionery.
In 1955 company Casali was bought by the Austrian company Napoli, Ragendorfer und Co. The successful union of the two leading Austrian confectionery producers at that time, Manner and Casali-Napoli, then took place at the end of 1970.
Whether Casali chocolate bananas, Casali Rum-Kokos or Casali Mini Mints and Aschanti – the Casali classics are naturally an inherent part of the range of products of the Josef Manner and Comp AG.
Casali Rum-Kokos are very popular and successful especially in Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia and also in Romania and in northern Europe.
Casali Chocolate Bananas took Germany by storm about 15 years ago. In particular in the east and in south-east Europe there is a "chocolate banana tradition". Owing to their high quality the Casali chocolate bananas have made a name for themselves in our neighbouring states Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, but also in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Romania and even in northern Europe, e.g., Finland and Sweden and it is unimaginable to think of a supermarket's sweet section without them!
The whole Casali range of products with Casali chocolate bananas, Casali Rum-Kokos and many more have been a part of Josef Manner & Comp AG since 1970: in this year the two companies - Casali-Napoli and Manner merged to become the largest Austrian confectionery producer.
